>Andre, Maurice - Trumpet Concertos (EMI) - An excellent collection of some of the greatest concertos of the baroque and classical eras.  Highly recommended.
>
Eklund, Nicklas - The Art of Baroque Trumpet, Vols. 1-4
,  - Some incredible natural trumpet playing.
>Marsalis, Wynton - Classic Wynton (Sony) - Though it's mostly a "greatest hits" collection, it has at least one redeeming feature: his recording of "The Prayer of St. Gregory".  For that alone, it's worth buying.
>Marsalis, Wynton - On the Twentieth Century (Sony) - A great collection of some of the most important works from the 20th Century.  Required listening.
>Marsalis, Wynton - Trumpet Concertos (Sony) - Wynton's fine recordings of the concerti by Haydn, Hummel, and Leopold Mozart.
>Nakariakov, Sergei - Trumpet Concertos (Teldec) - An outstanding recording of four great concertos by this incredible young soloist.
>Schlueter, Charles - Bravura Trumpet (Vox) - Some fine recordings of works by Ketting, Hindemith, and Chardon, et. al.
>Schwarz, Gerard - Cornet Favorites (Nonesuch) - A fine collection of some of the greatest cornet solo literature.  Also features artists such as Ronald Barron, principal trombone of the Boston Symphony Orchestra.
>Schwarz, Gerard - Classic Trumpet Concerti of Haydn/Hummel (Delos) - A great CD of Schwarz's takes on these two staples of the literature.
>Smith, Philip - Contest Solos (ITG) - A really fine CD of Phil Smith playing some standard literature for young and developing players. Highly Recommended.

>Baker, Chet - Chet - An outstanding collection of ballads by this "west coast cool" artist.  This album features a virtual all-star band that includes Bill Evans, Kenny Burrell, Pepper Adams, Paul Chambers, and Philly Joe Jones.

Brown, Clifford - A Study in Brown (Blue Note) - The quintessential recording of this brilliant, if short-lived, bop trumpeter.
